Poem: Shiny Helmet Option (Warnomics) | brutmystik's Blog

Shiny Helmet Option (Warnomics):

The letter

Did not say

My child died happy.

It did not say

She died justified.

It did not tell me

What her final

Thoughts were.

It did not bring

Me peace, and his

Green dress suit

Did not bring me hope.

His hands were

Very soft and pink.

Hers were blood caked

And mud washed.

She writhed and

Twisted like a garbage tie

On the floor of Earth.

He sat very straight

And sipped a warm,

Aromatic beverage

Next to our

White-Ghetto hearth.
